Emily here! I am the owner and creator of Kozy Kandles. We are a small woman owned business located in downtown New Albany, Indiana. We pour all of our candles by hand in small batches intentionally and ethically. We have a small but mighty team of five women who make all the goodies in the production room and who help people make candles at the bar. I started making candles in the summer of 2016 and established Kozy Kandles that fall. People always ask how I started making candles and quite honestly, it was a product I used religiously and I loved how they made a space feel so I decided to make my own.
The creative process gave me a sense of joy and sparked passion in me. The "K's" are in honor of my Mawmaw, Kay Gray, who passed away October 12th, 2016.
I decided to start making my own while I was a student-athlete at IUS primarily as an enjoyable and therapeutic hobby, and then to social media I took them and began doing pop-up markets to connect and share with the community.
